The Clicker Expo

The Art and Science of Animal Training Conference

The Clicker Expo, January 27-29, 2017

Portland, Oregon

The 2016 Clicker Expo introduced a horse track to the program.  They are repeating the horse track again for 2017.  I'll be doing an introductory talk on Getting Started (sae title as last year, but I'll have some new content - I always do for this talk.)  I'm adding four new talks, including one on riding with the clicker.

Jen Digate and Natalie Zielinsky will be joining us again, along with Peggy Hogan, so it promises to be another strong horse-oriented program. We had a great turnout last year in support of the horse track.  I am looking forward to building on that in 2017.

February 10-12, 2017

East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham University, Nottingham UK

Chiraq Patel, the conference organizer, gathered together a great roster of presenters, including two of my favorites, Kay Laurence and Dr. Susan Friedman.

This will be my first time presenting at a WOOF! conference.  I'm definitely looking forward to a great mix of practical application and science.

The 2017 WOOF! Conference was an outstanding event - so much fun!  The next WOOF! conference will be in 2019.

February 25-26, 2017

Dallas Texas

The focus of this year's conference is the Premack Principle.  We'll be exploring in depth what this means and how it applies to training.  The key note speaker, Dr Peter Killeen will get us started with his talk on: "Skinner's Rats, Pavlov's Dogs, and Premack's Principles."

The Art and Science of Animal Training conference is always ground breaking.  Last year we experimented with a new format that lets us dig down deeper into each presentation.  We want more than magazine-style presentations.  Combining both the science and the practical application of animal training, this conference has been a perennial favorite.

The Clicker Expo  March 31 - April 2, 2017

Stamford CT

I will be presenting at the Second Clicker Expo. The Expos bring together a wonderful community of clicker trainers.  The Stamford program will be very different from the January Expo.  You will want to look at both Expos to see which one will suit you best.
